J Program Study Tour to Nara [4月 21,2011 ]

On March 14, we made a study tour to Nara prefecture, which was a joint event with Nara University of Education. Fifteen students of Osaka University and twelve of Nara University participated in it.
In the morning we visited an Ume-Park at Tsukigase and had a stroll around it. After lunch we moved to the center of Nara for making Sumi (ink stick) at the Sumi Museum. First the Museum stuff gave us a lecture on the history of Sumi or how to produce it, then each of us made a Sumi stick which was one and only in the world.
